In 2012 the Empowerment Foundation publishes three books in co-operation with WoordenStorm Publishers.
Two of these are the direct results from the Headwind project and the third is a special production.

Our newest books

Eveline van de Putte composed the photobook Weathering Heights and together with Alice Anna Verheij the photobook Unforgotten. Alice Anna Verheij is the author of the English laguage novel Headwind, Laxmi’s Story.

• Unforgotten is a photobook that depicts the life of the forgotten exiles from Bhutan living in refugee camps in the south east of Nepal. You can download the sales flyer here.

• Headwind, Laxmi’s Story is an English language novel about a young Bhutanese woman who after a life in the refugee camp in Nepal has been resettled to the Netherlands. She speaks about her past life in the camp and the challenges of integrating in western society while at the same time hoping desperately to be reunited with her boyfriend who now lives in the United States.
